Malignant Melanoma is an increasingly common form of skin cancer in the UK having increased by 24% in the past 5 years, 100% in the past 15 years and is predicted to increase by 300% in the next three decades. Melanoma is the 3rd commonest cancer in the 15 to 39 age group. Melanoma checking involves using a new and highly regarded technique called Siascopy. (Spectrophotometric Intracutaneous Analysis (SIA) dermatoscopy). It is a non-invasive, rapid, and painless melanoma screening device that has been specifically designed with and for General Practitioners and skin specialists. This has very high accuracy rates for detection estimated to be as good as that for biopsy analysis. Our melanoma checking serviceis overseen by qualified doctors with an interest in dermatology. A general skin check costs from £95 and a Mole Check costs from £45. |
